The Cape Coral Hurricanes defeated the D.C. Divided, 5-3, in Menard's Third League action at Washington Stadium. Cape Coral pitcher Janghyun Han had a standout performance. Erich Alfaro notched his 1st save in 1 chances. The Hurricanes saw their win-loss record go to 47-56. At the same time, the Divided fell to 50-53.

Cape Coral used a clutch at-bat from Alex Thomas to capture the win. The third baseman hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Hurricanes ahead, 3-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Thomas. "And not try to do too much."
