Mexico City Gets Another L
The New Orleans Voodoo defeated the Mexico City Blue Demons, 8-2, in part because of first baseman Jorge Valdés. Valdés went 3 for 4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 runs for the Voodoo. The losing skid has reached 6 games for Mexico City.

The 31-year old second baseman Bill Spillman tried to rally his team in the bottom of the second inning. With runners on 2nd and 3rd and Mexico City trailing 1-0, Spillman hit a run-scoring single. But that was all she wrote for Mexico City. "Spillman had a nice at-bat," said manager JJ Hoban. "Otherwise, we had a shortage of hits when it counted."
