Good production from second baseman Mike McKinney helped the Long Island Lighthouse topple the Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC, 6-5. McKinney went 2 for 3 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2 for the Lighthouse. Long Island reliever Victor Jones got the win, raising his record to 4-8. Chad Edwards was tagged with the loss. The Northern Lions BC, now 44-60, have lost 5 in a row.

The game-ending blow was delivered by Jessie Jackson in the bottom of the tenth. That's when he hit a solo home run off 28-year old right-handed pitcher Chad Edwards to win it for Long Island and cause the home crowd to erupt in celebration.

"Great to get the crowd on its feet," Jackson said.
