Hartsfield Now 2-1 After Subduing Bowties
|
The Vancouver Grey Wolves knocked off the Buckhead Bowties, 5-0, in Menard's Third League action at Wolf Den in Vancouver. Vancouver pitcher and Lake Monticello, Virginia, native Rick Hartsfield had an outstanding performance. The setback makes Buckhead 46-59.
Hartsfield was in the zone all game. He frustrated Buckhead hitters while giving the Grey Wolves 7.1 innings of quality work. Hartsfield threw 102 pitches, allowing 3 hits and getting 8 punchouts.
"Rick did a good job of managing their lineup," said Vancouver manager David Krause.
