Hurricanes Lose at Home, 6-5

The St. Louis Coeur faced a tough opponent in Cape Coral pitcher Cliff Keir, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Factory of Sadness by a final score of 6-5. Keir went 5 innings and allowed no runs. The winner was St. Louis reliever Joe Roberts, now 7-4. The loser was Thad Willis. St. Louis is now 71-35, 4 games up in the Third League.
St. Louis used the hitting of Jorge Beguer to pick up the win. The designated hitter clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Coeur on top, 2-0. For the game, Beguer had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
