Extra-Inning Walk-Off Win for Lighthouse
The Long Island Lighthouse needed 10 innings to beat the Oakland Oaks, 7-5, at The Lighthouse. The win was due in part to left fielder Eric Hall, who went 2 for 4 with a home run, a double, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2 and driving in 3. Long Island reliever Rich Baker was the winner. His record is now 2-1. The losing pitcher was Walt Ormston. The Lighthouse lead the Third League by 5½ games.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the tenth. With no one out, Hall hit a cutter from Walt Ormston for a 2-run home run. The Lighthouse, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

"This place was jumping at the end," Hall said.
