Charleston Defeats Las Vegas, 4-3
The Charleston Battery picked up a win at The Strip, knocking off the Las Vegas Flamingos, 4-3. Starting pitcher Hunter Stinson was a big reason why. Stinson, now 8-4, was the winner. In 7.1 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 7, walking 1, and allowing 3 runs. James Tucker earned save number 27 this season.

Horace Ellis, the 25-year old center fielder , had a direct impact on the outcome. Ellis contributed a 2-run single in the top of the third inning to put Charleston up, 3-1.

"We'll pop the top on a cold beverage and get back to work tomorrow," Stinson said.

The loss makes Las Vegas 53-54.
