Cangrejos Fantasmas Topple Saboteurs, 5-2

The Chesapeake Cangrejos Fantasmas topped the Toledo Saboteurs, 5-2, in M3L Double A action at Toledo Backyard Park. The game was highlighted by the performance of Chesapeake pitcher Steve Allen. In 6 innings, Allen surrendered 5 hits, while striking out 3 and walking 0. He allowed 1 run. The win gives Chesapeake a record of 9-6.
Chesapeake used a well-timed hit by Emílio Gonzáles to capture the win. The third baseman socked a 2-run double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Cangrejos Fantasmas ahead, 3-0. Though it was his only hit in 3 at-bats, it was important.
"I thought Steve threw the ball well across the board," said Chesapeake manager John Moore.
