Mecedone Impresses as Hops Knock Off Eclipse, 3-0
Yakima took on Northville in front of a lively crowd.

Yakima got a first-rate effort from pitcher José Mecedone, who frustrated Northville hitters en route to a 3-0 Hops triumph at Hops Park. The win puts Yakima at 10-5.

The Eclipse had their hands full with Mecedone, who overpowered Northville hitters while racking up 11 strikeouts.

"I felt good. I felt like I was locating the ball well and I was able to keep them off-balance," said Mecedone.
