Hops Park played host to some exciting baseball.

Ottawa third baseman Steve Pérez had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Pérez went 3 for 4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once, even as Yakima beat the Fat Cats, 8-7, in 10 innings. Yakima is off to a sluggish start, getting just their 5th win in 16 games.

The Hops relied on first baseman José Reyes for the game-winning hit. And, in the bottom of the tenth, he delivered, hitting a run-scoring single to seal the deal.

"Exciting game to play in," said Reyes. "Getting the win makes it even better."
