Blues Rally Late to Nip Fur Traders
The Barton Springs Blues, behind a great outing from Brian Quarles defeated the Tacoma Fur Traders, 1-0, at Ballpark of Tacoma. The win went to Giustino Cotichini in relief. His record improves to 2-0. Francisco Alonzo took the loss. The Fur Traders drop to 9-9 and continue their mediocre start to the 2060 season.

Barton Springs used the timely hitting of Owen Roméro to seize the win. The designated hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Blues on top, 1-0. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"Both teams played hard," said Barton Springs manager Francisco Pelaez.
