Ling Paces Eclipse to 2-1 Win
|
Zhi Ling never let Virginia Beach get something going. The Northville left-hander commanded his cutter in pitching the Eclipse to a 2-1 win. Patrick Wilder closed it out for his 2nd save. The win gives Northville a record of 9-9.
Ling, who dominated for Northville, earned the victory to move to 2-2. He was in control the whole game, scattering 5 hits over 8 innings, while striking out 8. Virginia Beach batters could never bunch up enough hits to produce a rally.
"Zhi pitched like a son-of-a-gun," said Northville manager Daniel Katz.
