The Richland Rails downed the Ottawa Fat Cats, 6-3, at Nationals Park. The Rails were led by Ying-hua Hung. Hung went 2 for 5 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Richland pitcher Earnest McClure earned the win, hiking his record to 1-0. Júlio Díaz suffered the loss. Getting the save was Gregg Carlson, his 1st.

Hung contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for Richland in the top of the fifth. With his team trailing 3-2, Hung took a changeup from Júlio Díaz and stroked the home run to left. His 2nd home run of the season allowed the Rails to leap in front, 4-3.

"It never gets old," said Hung. "Winning, that is."

The hot start continues for the defending champion Rails. This was their 13th win in 19 games.
