Memphis picked up a win at Magnolia Park, bumping off the New Orleans Voodoo, 7-2. Pitcher Juan Cervantes was a major reason the Mockingbirds emerged victorious. Cervantes got the win, improving to 1-5. He gave up 4 hits and walked 2 over 7 innings. He allowed no runs. Memphis currently is in 7th place in the Premier League at 32-38.
Celestino Pvoas, who is tied for 2nd in the PL in triples with 4, contributed to the Memphis win with a solo home run in the bottom of the third. For the game, the center fielder had 3 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 2 singles, 2 runs scored, and 1 RBI.
"We'll kick back tonight, then get set for the next one," Pvoas said.
