The rain could not keep the home crowd from enjoying a good ballgame.

The Casper Ghosts withstood a fine game by Pine Island second baseman Jim Woods at Goodyear Hanger Dome, to upend the Dolphins, 5-4. Woods hit 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. Kanzaburo Ichikawa notched his 6th save of the season.

The Dolphins had been locked in a 0-0 tie with the Ghosts going into the top of the sixth inning. That changed quickly when the former first round draft pick Jerome Miller came to the plate. Miller hit a solo home run on a 2-1 slider from Pine Island hurler Paul Clark. It was Miller's 5th home run of the year.

"It feels good to get this one," Miller told the Casper Herald.

Pine Island drops to 12-8.
