Rails C Bynings reaches base 5 times in Win
The Richland Rails defeated the Ottawa Fat Cats, 6-4. Catcher Stan Bynings deserved a large share of the credit. Bynings went 2 for 3 with a home run and 3 walks. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2 for the Rails. Dave Sandoval earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 1 hit in 1.1 innings. He upped his record to 2-0. Martino Salazar closed the door for Richland, picking up his 5th save of the year.

Bynings had a key at-bat in the top of the ninth to put Richland in front, 6-4. With the bases loaded, he drew a walk, driving in 1 run off Ottawa pitcher José Salazaro.

"What we get, we earn," Bynings told the Richland Bulletin.

At 13-8, the Rails claim third place in the Menard's AA.
