Goodyear Hanger Dome was the site of an exciting ballgame between the Lancaster Farmers and Pine Island Dolphins.

The inspired effort of Pine Island shortstop Jim McGuire was not enough to prevent a loss, 5-4, to the Lancaster Farmers. McGuire went 3 for 4 with 3 singles and a walk, while scoring 2 times. The Farmers go to 9-12, putting them 9th in the Menard's AA.

Francisco Fermin chipped in for Lancaster, stroking a crucial 2-run single in the top of the seventh inning. For the game, the second baseman went 2 for 5 with 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI.

"It's not about individual awards," Fermin told a Lancaster Today reporter after the game. "It's about winning championships. That's what we play for."
