|
Westwood starter Brady Allen kept the Virginia Beach offense from doing much damage. The right-hander leaned on his cutter in leading the Sixshooters to a 3-1 win. Peter Dupree nailed down his 5th save. Virginia Beach has now lost 4 in a row.
Radek Grosek had a critical at-bat with two out in the bottom of the seventh for Westwood. He came through with a run-scoring single to put Westwood in front, 3-1.
"When you have a good rhythm and good flow, it's nice to just go out there and pound the strike zone with confidence," said Allen.
