Stingers Lose to Shredders in Walk-Off
The Hollywood Shredders defeated the Toledo Stingers, 7-5. Doing his part was designated hitter José Vera, who belted 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. Skip Lewis picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Tim Evans suffered the loss. The loss drops Toledo to 3-4.

The clutch at-bat in the bottom of the ninth belonged to Vera. Facing Tim Evans with a runner on 1st, the Hollywood designated hitter had a 2-run home run. Game over, walk-off style!

"Anytime you're seeing it well, it's a good feeling," Vera told the Hollywood Daily.
