Though he had a terrific game, Joe Oliver could not prevent his team, the Richland Rails, from absorbing a loss. Pine Island won the game, 6-5. Oliver hit 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. Andrew Thomas, credited with the win in relief, is now 1-0. He allowed 1 run on 1 hit in 3 innings. Pine Island sits in 5th place in the Menard's AA at 13-11.

The Goodyear Hanger Dome crowd went wild in the bottom of the seventh when Jon Turner, who is tied for 2nd in the 3AA in home runs with 6, won the game for Pine Island with a run-scoring single. Turner was 1-5 in the contest.
