Though he had a great game, Juan Vega could not single-handedly produce a win for Casper. Virginia Beach won the game, 4-2. Vega went 3 for 5 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk. Jack Barr earned his 6th save, after closing out the game. With the win, the Whales have a record of 9-18.

Facing Casper hurler Don Walker, he drew a walk, driving in 1 run to give the Whales a 2-1 lead.
