The Ottawa Fat Cats used a stellar performance from pitcher Edward Small to throttle the Squirrel Hill offense en route to an extra-inning, 2-1 win at Nationals Park. Gerald Jones came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 3 hits in 4 innings. His record now stands at 1-0. With the victory, the Fat Cats record stands at 11-16.

The Fat Cats got a clutch hit from shortstop Mike Hart. In the bottom of the 11th, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Fat Cats.
