Crawford Lifts Farmers to 5-2 Win
Joe Crawford led the Lancaster Farmers to a nifty 5-2 win over the Yakima Hops. The Lancaster designated hitter, who leads the 3AA in RBI with 28, was a force of nature. He banged out 3 extra-base hits, including 2 home runs and 1 double. Mike Nelson picked up the win with 6 innings of work. He allowed 1 run on 7 hits, while walking 1 and striking out 5. On the season, he is now 1-4. Earning his 3rd save of the year was Ahamyati Tikku.

Crawford had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the sixth. On a 2-2 sinker from Tanner Davis, he banged a solo home run to left, giving the Farmers a 2-1 lead. It was the 10th home run of the year for Crawford.

"I like how we're playing right now," said Crawford.

The 9th-place Hops dropped to 11-16.
