Cangrejos Fantasmas Rip Casper, 12-1
|
The Chesapeake Cangrejos Fantasmas took on the Casper Ghosts at Ghost Crab Park.
The Chesapeake Cangrejos Fantasmas handed the Casper Ghosts a sound defeat, 12-1, at Ghost Crab Park. Bob Peters, who is tied for 5th in the 3AA in triples with 1, was a main contributor to the win. He belted 2 home runs, while scoring 3 times and driving in 4 for Chesapeake. Today's win puts Chesapeake at 15-13, while Casper falls to 15-13.
Orlando Núñez had a big 2-run double for the Cangrejos Fantasmas in the bottom of the first inning. With Chesapeake leading 3-0 and the bases loaded, he got a fastball from 24-year old left-handed pitcher Cliff Clark and swatted a double to right. It was his 1st double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Cangrejos Fantasmas ahead, 5-0.
"We did a lot of things right," said Núñez.
