The Casper Ghosts defeated the Providence Pilgrims, 6-2, in M3L Double A action at Field of Plenty. Casper pitcher Kanzaburo Ichikawa had a standout performance. The winning pitcher was Ichikawa, now 4-1. He tossed 6 innings of 2-hit ball, while walking 5 and fanning 5. The Pilgrims, at 13-15, have lost 4 in a row.

Casper used the timely hitting of Mike Blake to seize the win. The second baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Ghosts on top, 2-0. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
