Barton Springs Drops Another One, 7-5
|
No one was more impactful than Jeffrey Encarnación in the 7-5 Pine Island win over Barton Springs. Encarnación, who is tied for 9th in the 3AA in RBI with 20, was 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. The winner was Soh Oike, who threw 98 pitches over 7 innings. The left-hander was charged with 3 runs on 5 hits. José Zapata recorded the save, his 4th.
Early in the game, Encarnación had a 2-run home run for Pine Island. It was his 3rd home run of the season and put the Dolphins on top, 2-0.
