Ottawa Gets Riveting Walk-Off Win
|
The Northville Eclipse got a superb performance from pitcher David Downs, but the Ottawa Fat Cats still won the game, 2-1. Downs threw 8.0 innings of 1-hit ball. Ottawa has now reeled off 6 straight wins.
Juan Leyva was the walk-off hero for Ottawa. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Fat Cats left fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"Can't say enough about our pitching," said Leyva.
