David Farías could take little solace in pitching a good game. The fact is his Yakima Hops lost, dropping a 3-2 decision to the Westwood Sixshooters at Hops Park. Westwood starter Jake Blackmon was credited with the win after throwing 101 pitches over 6.2 innings. His record now stands at 3-3. Peter Dupree, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 6th save.

Westwood used a well-timed hit by Radek Grosek to capture the win. The second baseman socked a 2-run double in the top of the second inning to put the Sixshooters ahead, 2-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

Grosek called the win a test of his team's "mettle."
