Fat Cats Continue Hot Streak with Extra-Inning Win
In a low-scoring contest, Ottawa pitcher Bob O'Reilly was marvelous, enabling his team to nab a 2-1 win. The win went to Earnest Sorensen in relief, making him now 3-2. Michael Sheppard took the loss for Minnesota. The first-place Fat Cats have a one-game lead in their division.

The Fat Cats got a clutch hit from third baseman John Nelson. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Fat Cats.

"I still think this team has room for improvement," Nelson told the Ottawa Citizen.
