Toledo Hands Richland 3-1 Defeat

The Toledo Saboteurs picked up a win at Rails Ballpark, taking down the Richland Rails, 3-1. Starting pitcher Dan Caine was a big reason why. Caine, now 3-1, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 4, walking 1, and allowing 1 run. Clemens Schlöndorff picked up his 4th save of the season.
Toledo used the hitting of Jorge Cruz to pick up the win. The left fielder clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Saboteurs on top, 3-0. For the game, Cruz had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
Caine called the win "a team effort."
