Richland Rails starter Aaron Covington turned in a top-notch performance against the Lancaster Farmers at Rails Ballpark. The result was a win for the Rails, 3-2. Richland occupies 8th place in the Menard's AA at 16-18.

The defining moment came in the bottom of the tenth for Richland. That's when Al Thurman hit a run-scoring double off 23-year old right-handed pitcher José Márquez to win the game. The home crowd went wild.

"Tough loss," said Lancaster manager Dave Davis. "But we'll learn from it."
