The Lancaster Farmers turned back the Northville Eclipse, 7-6, at Farmers Field. Calvin Shanahan, in particular, had a fine performance. He was 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk. The win was credited to 20-year old right-handed pitcher Olaf Blees in relief. His record improves to 1-1. Patrick Wilder took the loss. The Farmers saw their win-loss record go to 16-18. At the same time, the Eclipse fell to 17-17.

Damon O'Neil was the walk-off hero for Lancaster. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Farmers third baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

O'Neil said this kind of win gives the team "a buzz."
