White Walkers Tag Voodoo with 5-2 Loss
|
Led by Darryl Stansberry, the Buffalo White Walkers downed the New Orleans Voodoo, 5-2. Stansberry went 2-4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 times for the White Walkers. Buffalo reliever Mario Rosales was the winner. His record is now 5-3. The losing pitcher was Al Hussey. Nathan May earned the save for Buffalo, his 1st of the year.
Stansberry had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the sixth. On a first pitch fastball from Al Hussey, he banged a solo home run to left-center, giving the White Walkers a 3-2 lead. It was the 7th home run of the year for Stansberry.
Buffalo manager Chris Lau praised his team's "businesslike approach."
The 8th-place White Walkers now sit at 31-41.
