Dolphins Squelch Hops Offense in Shutout Win
The Pine Island Dolphins beat the Yakima Hops, 6-0, at Hops Park. Juan Díaz, in particular, was impressive. He was 2-4 with a double and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. The 6th-place Dolphins hiked their record to 17-18.

With Pine Island leading 1-0 in the top of the third, Díaz hit a run-scoring single off Yakima hurler Myron Downs. It was the 23rd hit of the season for Díaz and put his team ahead, 2-0.

"I was just going up there trying to see good pitches, that was about it," said Díaz.
