The Long Island Lighthouse claimed a close win over the Hollywood Shredders, due in large part to Roger Raper. The Long Island right-hander pitched a great game to secure the 2-1 win. Raper got the win, improving to 3-6. He gave up 2 hits and walked 2 over 7 innings. He allowed 1 run. Imbart Theunen finished to wrap up his 12th save.

Long Island used a well-timed hit by Pedro Palgon to capture the win. The designated hitter socked a run-scoring double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Lighthouse ahead, 2-0. Though it was his only hit in 3 at-bats, it was important.

"We played a good game and came out on top," said Palgon.

Long Island's record now stands at 31-41, placing them 8th in the Premier League.
