Ghosts Raise Rally Flag, Beat Toledo, 6-3
|
No one was more impactful than Dan Anderson in the 6-3 Casper win over Toledo. Anderson, the 4th overall pick in the 2056 draft, went 1-3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. The win belonged to Kanzaburo Ichikawa in relief. His record improves to 1-3. Jesse Yates took the loss for Toledo. At 25-13, Casper is in first place in the Menard's AA.
Had Anderson not come through in the top of the eighth, who knows how the game would've ended? But with two down, Anderson hit a grand slam home run. The Ghosts took the lead, 5-3, and never looked back.
"No one player deserves all the credit when you win," Anderson said. "And the same is true when you lose."
