The Yakima Hops wasted an impressive 7.1-inning effort from starter Nelson Otero, falling, 2-1, to the Minnesota Loons at Hops Park. Minnesota sits in second place in the Menard's AA at 25-14.

Minnesota went up, 2-1, on Nick Jackson's 4th home run of the season. The solo home run, which Jackson hit in the top of the seventh, left Yakima pitcher Nelson Otero feeling deflated.

"We'll enjoy this win," said Jackson. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
