Tacoma Tumbles Again, Falls, 6-3, to Casper

The Casper Ghosts picked up a win at The Graveyard, dropping the Tacoma Fur Traders, 6-3. Kanzaburo Ichikawa, who leads the 3AA in innings pitched with 66.0, was the difference-maker. Ichikawa yielded 1 run over 6.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 3 hits, walked 1, and struck out 6. His record improves to 6-2. The save went to Wesley Edwards, number 3 for him.
Dan Anderson had a big run-scoring double for the Ghosts in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Casper leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 3rd, he got a sinker from 21-year old right-handed pitcher Henry Coffey and swatted a double to right. It was his 2nd double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Ghosts ahead, 2-0.
"I'm proud of the way we took care of business and got the 'W' today," Ichikawa told the Casper Daily. "Whatever it takes."
The losing skid has reached 6 games for Tacoma.
