Big Day for Douglas as Rails Down Javelina, 3-1
|
Rails first baseman Carter Douglas left his imprint on his team's 3-1 win over the Arizona Javelina. Douglas slugged 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice for Richland in the contest. Jesús Pérez picked up the save for Richland, his 3rd of the year. The win makes Richland 20-22.
Richland took the lead on Douglas's 12th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which came against Pablo Ávila in the top of the eighth, made the score 3-1, Richland.
"We made a couple of mistakes," said Arizona skipper León Domínguez, "and it cost us."
