Toledo Sent Home with 6-2 Loss
|
Cangrejos Fantasmas second baseman Bob Peters put his stamp on his team's 6-2 win over the Toledo Saboteurs. Peters was 2-3 with a double and was hit 2 times, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for Chesapeake in the contest. Steve Allen earned the win to go to 4-1. He allowed 2 runs on 9 hits, with 2 walks and 3 strikeouts in 7.1 innings of work. Picking up the save was 25-year old right-handed pitcher Jorge Deleón.
In the first inning, Peters had a 2-run double for Chesapeake. It was his 6th double of the season and put the Cangrejos Fantasmas on top, 2-0.
"It's nice to step up when your team needs you," said Peters.
Chesapeake is second in the Menard's AA with a record of 27-17.
