Farmers Win 7-6 Nail-Biter Versus Whales
The Lancaster Farmers beat the Virginia Beach Whales, 7-6 -- though it took them 11 innings. Lancaster first baseman Peyton Cummings had a pretty good game. He went 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 5 runs and scored once. The 11th-place Whales dropped to 15-30.

The Farmers relied on shortstop Ronald Harris for the game-winning hit. And, in the bottom of the 11th, he delivered, hitting a run-scoring single to seal the deal.

"The house was rockin'," said Cummings.
