Prigent Helps Asheville Cruise to 10-3 Win
The timely hitting of Claude Prigent helped the Asheville Highlanders down the Yakima Hops, 10-3. Prigent went 3-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3 for the Highlanders. Lúcio Patino got the win, improving to 1-0. He held the Hops to 2 runs on 3 hits over 6 innings, while striking out 4 and walking 6. Bill Moore stitched up the save, his 1st.

In the first inning, Prigent had a 3-run home run for Asheville. It was his 6th home run of the season and put the Highlanders on top, 3-0.
