|
Northville took on Pine Island in a contest which featured a pitchers' duel. Zhi Ling, in particular, was fantastic. The Northville left-hander helped his team snag the win, 2-1. The winner was Bernie Williams in relief. His record improves to 2-1. Marcus Lucas took the loss. Northville is now 27-21. Pine Island is 25-23.
The clutch hit was provided by Amikishi Saginov. He delivered a walk-off run-scoring single off Marcus Lucas in the bottom of the tenth.
"The game is never over 'til it's over," said a jubilant Daniel Katz, the Northville skipper.
