Ghosts Win at Home, 3-2

In a low-scoring tilt between the Casper Ghosts and the Gwinnett Guinea Pigs, 23-year old right-handed pitcher Wesley Edwards was the difference-maker. The Casper right-hander spearheaded the 3-2 win. The winning pitcher was Edwards, now 1-4. He tossed 6.1 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 5 and fanning 5. The Ghosts sport a record of 19-30.
The Guinea Pigs had been locked in a 1-1 tie with the Ghosts going into the bottom of the fourth inning. That changed quickly when the 25-year old center fielder Matt Banks came to the plate. Banks hit a 2-run double on a 2-0 fastball from Gwinnett hurler Mark McConnell. It was Banks's 10th double of the year.
"It was a hard game, a hard night," said Gwinnett skipper Pedro Vázquez.
