Ghosts Held Hitless by Phillips
Colton Phillips really did a number on the Casper Ghosts at The Graveyard today -- and that number was zero.

The Gwinnett Guinea Pigs hurler had what he later called "one of the best moments of my life," tossing a no-hitter and leading the Guinea Pigs to victory, 5-0.

"This is something special," Phillips said. "I knew from the fifth inning that I had a no-hitter working. I tried to get it out of my mind, but you just can't. They have too many scoreboards in the park. They're everywhere you look."

The right-hander faced only 29 batters in the no-hit gem, struck out 7 and walked 3.

"We simply couldn't get any wood on the ball," Casper manager Chet Delaney said when asked about the epic performance. "Phillips was brilliant out there. He certainly had our number."

Phillips has gone 6-4 this season with an ERA of 1.91 and 54 strikeouts in 80 innings pitched. Other clubs are hitting .190 against him.
