Blackmon Delivers 3-2 Win
|
Westwood parlayed a decent outing from starter Jake Blackmon into a solid win over the Tacoma Fur Traders. The final score was 3-2. The 10th-place Sixshooters lifted their record to 21-28.
Blackmon was in the zone all game. He frustrated Tacoma hitters while giving the Sixshooters 7.1 innings of quality work. Blackmon threw 101 pitches, allowing 3 hits and getting 7 punchouts.
"We had the right guys up at the right times," said Tacoma manager Jeff Rutherford. "We just didn't cash in."
