Mark Garland never let Seattle get something going. The Toledo left-hander commanded his slider in pitching the Stingers to a 6-1 win. The Stingers, at 42-32, sit in second place in the Premier League.

Evan Cook had a key at-bat with one out in the bottom of the fourth for Toledo. With the bases loaded and the Stingers leading 1-0, he hit a sacrifice fly.

"I just tried to attack the bottom of the zone," Garland said.
