The Westwood Sixshooters had to overcome a good performance from Tacoma pitcher Jussi Salmelainen to claim a 3-2 win at Ballpark of Tacoma. Salmelainen went 6.1 innings and allowed 1 run. The winner was Westwood reliever George Norton, now 3-1. The loser was Javier Caraballo. The save went to Bobby Cooper, number 1 for him.

Westwood needed the clutch hitting of Greg Hilton to seal the deal. The first baseman swatted a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Sixshooters on top, 3-2. For the game, Hilton had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"We're in a little bit of a dry spell," said Tacoma manager Jeff Rutherford.

The win makes Westwood 23-28.
