Fat Cats Lose to Minnesota, 6-0
|
Minnesota Loons pitcher Mac Walker was in top form, leading his team past the Ottawa Fat Cats, 6-0. Minnesota is second in the Menard's AA with a record of 34-19.
Nick Jackson had a big grand slam home run for the Loons in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Minnesota leading 1-0 and the bases loaded, he sized up a cutter from Bob O'Reilly, who is tied for 6th in the 3AA in complete games with 1, and punished it. The result was his 5th home run of the season, which put the Loons on top, 5-0.
"Winning the game is always the first objective," Walker said.
