Fat Cats Overcome Great Performance by Hall in Win
The Lancaster Farmers and Ottawa Fat Cats provided some drama for the home crowd.

The Ottawa Fat Cats overcame a pretty good performance by Lancaster designated hitter Vince Hall, beating the Farmers, 8-7, at Farmers Field. Hall slugged 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. Dan George snagged the win in relief. He goes to 2-0 on the season. Rafael Gregrio suffered the loss.

Ottawa needed the clutch hitting of Lien-ying Chua to notch the win. The catcher hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Fat Cats on top, 8-7. For the game, Chua had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"It's nice to see a lot of guys make contributions," said Fat Cats manager Jorge Carranza.

Ottawa is now 21-33.
