In a tight affair between the Boston Patriots and the Toledo Stingers, pitcher Jesús Ramírez was in the zone. The Boston left-hander helped his team win the game, 1-0. The win was credited to Yong-hyun Kim in relief. His record improves to 2-5. Marvin Garner took the loss. With the win, Boston raised its record to 43-31.

The Patriots got a clutch hit from center fielder Herb Tenney. In the bottom of the 11th, he hit a run-scoring single to center, to win the game for the Patriots.

"Jesús was throwing strikes, locating well," said Boston manager Brian Fahie.
