|
In the 8-5 Ottawa win over Tacoma, the impact of Luis Mata was substantial. Mata, who is tied for 10th in the 3AA in stolen bases with 5, went 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 3 runs and drove in 3. With the win, Ottawa raised its record to 31-24.
The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the tenth. With two out, Mata hit a fastball from Luis Colón for a 3-run home run. The Fat Cats, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.
"The fans went nuts at the end," Mata said.
