Eugene Glenn, who is tied for 5th in the 3AA in wins with 6, had a strong outing for the Providence Pilgrims against the Virginia Beach Whales at Field of Plenty. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 5-3 win. Bill Thomas closed it out for his 10th save. The winning streak has now reached 4 games for Providence.

Henry Roberts cracked a home run off Woody Johnston in the bottom of the third. His 3-run blast put the Pilgrims on top, 3-1. In all, Roberts had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 5.
